At Empire Fence Company, every project we complete holds a special place in our hearts, but some projects carry a purpose that reaches far beyond beauty and craftsmanship. We were deeply honored to partner with Epic Homes to install a brand-new Ameristar ornamental iron fence for the St. Jude Dream Home® Giveaway in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.
Supporting a Life-Saving Mission
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® stands as a global beacon of hope because it operates on a revolutionary premise: a child’s life should never depend on a family’s ability to pay.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer or a complex, life-threatening illness, a family’s world shifts overnight. The emotional toll is overwhelming, and in standard medical environments, it is immediately compounded by crippling financial anxiety. St. Jude removes that burden entirely.
Here is what makes their work—and supporting it—so impactful:
- Zero Financial Burden: Families never receive a single bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food. By covering all essential living expenses alongside medical costs, parents can devote 100% of their energy to supporting their child’s recovery.
- Pioneering Research & Treatments: St. Jude is not just a hospital; it is a world-renowned research facility. Since opening its doors in 1962, St. Jude has helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80%.
- Global Knowledge Sharing: Unlike many institutions, St. Jude freely shares its scientific discoveries and treatment protocols with doctors and researchers worldwide. A breakthrough made at St. Jude saves lives in local communities everywhere.
Participating in initiatives like the St. Jude Dream Home® Giveaway connects every piece of hardware, every foot of fencing, and every hour of craftsmanship directly to this life-saving ecosystem. It transforms standard construction into a foundation for hope.
Crafting Security and Style for a Great Cause
To complement the thoughtful design crafted by Epic Homes, our team provided and installed premium materials built to last:
- Product: Ameristar Montage series 3-rail steel fence
- Height: 5-foot tall classic profile
- Scope: Approximately 120 linear feet
The Montage series delivers a sleek, ornamental iron aesthetic paired with superior steel durability, providing security, boundary definition, and curb appeal to the home’s exterior.
Proud to Build Together
Working alongside Epic Homes—a builder dedicated to quality and community giving—made this effort seamless. Moments like seeing Mary and Nathan Nelson stand proudly in front of the sponsor signs at the home remind us why local partnerships matter. Building stronger, safer spaces starts right here in our community, and supporting St. Jude is one of the most meaningful ways we can give back.
Thank you to Epic Homes for leading the charge and inviting us to be part of such an important cause.
