We rebuilt this yard in three connected runs: 40 feet of dog ear cedar on square steel posts, 28 feet of pre-stained cap and trim cedar, and another 44 feet of cap and trim carried on sound round steel posts already in the ground. Openings include an 8 foot wood double gate, two 4 foot wood walk gates, and a 4 foot ornamental iron walk gate. Steel posts matter here because Tulsa clay swells and shrinks with every wet and dry cycle, and steel will not twist or rot at the soil line the way wood can. The cap and trim closes the top of the fence so sun and rain reach fewer picket ends on an established city lot.
