The main run here is 105 feet of six foot cedar, pre-stained in Oxford Brown. Staining before the pickets go up puts color on all four faces of every board, including the edges that end up pressed against each other once the fence is standing. A nine foot section of cap and trim cedar was left unstained where it ties into the rest. Two gates serve the yard: a four foot wood walk gate and a five foot walk gate on a welded steel frame. The bottom pickets on the trash guard were trimmed so the cap board could stay level. Broken Arrow sun is hard on bare wood, and finished pickets hold their color through it far longer.
