The privacy sections use 5/8 inch by 3.5 inch by 6 foot Douglas fir pickets in a pre-stained cedar tone, three Douglas fir 2×4 backrails, and 2 1/2 inch square steel posts set in concrete. The rest is Ameristar Montage Majestic ornamental steel with three rails, 2 inch 16 gauge black posts in concrete, 4 inch picket airspace, and an extended picket bottom rail, which we installed to line up cleanly with the wood. We built the wood walk gate from the same pre-stained pickets. Bixby back yards frequently want privacy on one side and sight lines on another.
