Above grade, Douglas fir pickets at 5/8 by 3.5 by 6 feet arrived pre-stained in a cedar tone, hung on three fir 2×4 backrails and fastened with galvanized ring shank nails. Nothing in the assembly depends on a coating you will need to renew soon. The walk gate came from our shop in the same material, with heavy duty hinges and a secure latch.
