Pets and kids need a boundary they can see through, and the rest of the yard needs to stay usable. We stretched 11 1/2 gauge galvanized mesh on 1 5/8 inch .047 line posts, braced the corners and ends with 2 3/8 inch .047 terminal posts in concrete, and capped the line with a 1 3/8 inch .047 top rail. A walk gate handles daily foot traffic and a 10 foot double gate opens wide enough for a mower or a trailer. Both arrived galvanized to match the fabric, and we hung them square. Muskogee lots take sun, wind, and wet clay in turn, and galvanized steel shrugs off all three.
