The look is a clean black picket line with three rails, and your eye reads through it rather than stopping at it. We installed Ameristar Montage in the Majestic 4 foot, 3 rail profile on 2 inch, 16 gauge black posts set in concrete. Pickets run at 4 inch standard airspace, and the bottom rail is the extended picket type, so the pickets carry down past it and the fence keeps a finished edge where it meets grade. The factory coating on the steel takes Oklahoma sun and rain without paint or upkeep. On a Bixby lot with a view worth keeping, this marks the boundary and leaves the sightline alone.
