Every element of this build aims at holding its shape. The fence face is cedar picket topped with a 2×6 cedar cap board and 1×4 cedar trim, hung on 2 1/2 inch square steel posts set in concrete over three Douglas fir 2×4 back rails, with galvanized ring shank nails throughout. The walk gate is welded from 1 1/2 inch galvanized square steel tubing and opens outward away from the house. Cap and trim locks the top of the run, and a welded frame locks the gate.
