We ran 116 feet of dog ear cedar privacy fence on square steel posts here, and we built two walk gates into the line so you can reach either side of the yard without cutting through the house. There was no old fence to tear out, so the crew set a fresh post line and held it straight corner to corner. Steel posts matter in this part of Oklahoma. Clay swells after a rain and shrinks in the heat, and that movement is what works a buried wood post loose. Steel will not rot where it meets the dirt.
