Where the yard needs cover it is solid cedar, and where it needs to stay open it is timber rail with black mesh behind it. The cedar side uses 5/8 inch by 3.5 inch dog ear pickets on three Douglas fir 2×4 backrails and 2 1/2 inch square steel posts set in concrete. The rail side runs 4 inch round treated posts in concrete with 4 inch by 8 foot doweled rails and 9 gauge black chain link, a finish that recedes so the rails are what you see.
