We took out the old fence and put up 116 feet of 6 foot cedar privacy on square steel posts, with two 4 foot walk gates. On a shorter run like this, gate placement is most of the design work, and two openings mean each side of the house has its own path into the back yard. Steel posts went in at every position because a 6 foot cedar wall is a sail in a Broken Arrow spring storm, and post movement is what opens gaps between pickets.
