We ran 5/8 inch by 3.5 inch by 6 foot cedar dog ear pickets over three Douglas fir 2×4 backrails, nailed with galvanized ring shank nails, on 2 1/2 inch square steel posts set in concrete. There is no visibility through it, which cuts down on fence running and barking at whatever walks past. The gate is the same cedar on heavy duty hinges, with a latch that seats properly every time so it does not get left ajar. Claremore lots have room, and this keeps that room usable.
