We built 151 feet of 6 foot cedar privacy fence here with two walk gates, one at 5 feet and one at 4 feet, plus a plated post where a footing could not be dug. A plated post fastens to existing concrete and carries the fence across a slab without breaking it up. The rest of the run sits on square steel posts set in concrete, which handle the swelling and shrinking of Oklahoma clay better than buried wood. Two gate widths let each opening match the way it gets used. Cedar pickets and three backrails per section give a flat face on both sides.
