6 ft Cedar Dog Ear Privacy Fence on N New Haven Ave in Tulsa, OK

Fence System Details

Includes details of a 6-Foot Wood Fence installation in Tulsa. This Residential fencing project built by Empire Fence Company may include other types of fences or fence materials as specified below.

We closed this Tulsa yard with 320 feet of 6 foot cedar dog ear privacy fence. The ground fought back here, so the crew brought a jackhammer, cut every post hole through rock, and still set each steel post in concrete to full depth. That effort pays off later. A post sitting in a shallow or undersized hole is the first thing to lean when a spring storm comes across the plains. Cedar pickets on square steel posts give you a full height screen with nothing at the base left to rot, and three Douglas fir backrails spread wind load along the run instead of loading single boards. A perimeter this long gets the most out of that build.

At 320 feet this is a full perimeter screen, and the length is exactly why we set square steel posts rather than wood. Rock in the ground meant jackhammering the holes, and a hole that hard to cut deserves a post that will still be doing its job decades from now.
