We replaced the fence at this Tulsa home with 133 feet of 6 foot cedar privacy on square steel posts and hung one 5 foot walk gate. The old line came out first, then new post holes went in with concrete at every position. On in town lots, fences sit close to the neighbor’s line and often against paving or a garage wall, so getting posts plumb and holes deep is most of the job. Steel posts also let us hold the run tight to the property line without the bulk of a 4×4. Cedar over three fir backrails gives the screening, and galvanized ring shank nails keep the pickets from backing out as the wood moves.
