Two materials share this fence line. The cedar section closes off the parts of the yard meant to stay private, using 5/8 by 3.5 inch dog ear pickets on three Douglas fir 2×4 back rails and 2 1/2 inch square steel posts set in concrete. The other stretch is Ameristar Montage ornamental iron in the Majestic three rail style, on 2 inch black posts, with pickets carried through an extended bottom rail. Iron keeps a view open where a solid wall would feel heavy. The walk gate is wood, built to match the cedar, with galvanized fasteners and a secure latch. It lets a Broken Arrow yard stay closed where it must and open where it need not.
