This job replaced a full run: 247 feet of 6 foot cedar dog ear privacy fence, with the old posts pulled out of the ground before anything new went in. Pulling posts instead of cutting them off matters, because leftover concrete underground forces new holes off spacing and you end up with sections that do not match. Every new post is 2 1/2 inch square steel set in concrete, and each section carries three Douglas fir backrails behind full height cedar pickets. A run this long across a Tulsa yard gets full afternoon sun on one face and shade on the other, and cedar takes that uneven exposure in stride year after year.

All 247 feet of this fence is dog ear cedar on square steel, replacing a line whose posts we pulled first. Clean holes let us set the new posts on even spacing from one end to the other.
