We closed this Glenpool yard with 202 feet of 6 foot cedar dog ear privacy fence and two walk gates. The pickets face smooth side in, so the yard sees the clean face and the framing stays on the outside. Square steel posts set in concrete carry the run. On a new build the fence goes in before the ground settles, and steel holds its line while the soil around each post compacts over the first couple of seasons. Three Douglas fir backrails spread wind load along the fence instead of letting it pull on single pickets, which counts for a lot on the open ground south of Tulsa. Two gates keep both sides of the house usable.
