This property needed screening in one place and an open barrier in another, so we built both. The privacy run uses 2 1/2 inch square steel posts in concrete, three Douglas fir 2×4 backrails, and 5/8 inch by 3.5 inch cedar pickets nailed with galvanized ring shank nails. The chain link run uses 1 5/8 inch line posts and 2 3/8 inch terminal posts in concrete, a 1 3/8 inch top rail, and 11 1/2 gauge galvanized fabric stretched tight across it. A galvanized walk gate was hung in that section. Older Tulsa lots often call for this exactly, privacy where people gather and wire where light and access matter.
