The old fence came down first, all 181 feet of it, and we rebuilt the same line in 6 foot cedar dog ear privacy on 4×4 treated posts set in concrete. Two walk gates give the yard access from both approaches. One post sits on a plate rather than in a dug hole, because there was no way to excavate at that spot without tearing up what was already there. Treated wood posts pair naturally with cedar pickets and keep the fence a single material from grade to top, which many Claremore homeowners prefer on an established property. A replacement run also lets us correct spacing that drifted on the fence that came out.
