This project added 139 feet of 6 foot privacy fence and one 4 foot walk gate to the property. Every post is a treated 4×4 set in concrete, and three backrails run behind the pickets rather than the two you often see, which is what keeps a board flat when the sun hits one face all afternoon. The pickets go on with galvanized ring shank nails so the fasteners hold as the wood expands and contracts through the year. Claremore sits far enough out that yards catch open wind, and a fence that is only as strong as its posts will show it fast. This one is built the other way around, posts first, everything else hung on them.
