8 ft Cedar Cap and Trim Privacy Fence on E 80th St N in Owasso, OK

Fence System Details
Includes details of a 8-Foot Wood Fence installation in Owasso. This Residential fencing project built by Empire Fence Company may include other types of fences or fence materials as specified below.
This Owasso project steps down in height. We built 48 feet of eight foot cedar cap and trim privacy fence and 36 feet more at six feet, tapering the last sections from eight down to six at each end of the tall run so the change looks intentional rather than abrupt. Posts went in every six feet across the whole job. Tight spacing matters at eight feet, since a taller fence catches far more wind and loads each post harder. Square steel set in concrete carries it. The cap board and trim close off the picket tops, keeping water out of the end grain and giving the finished fence a clean top edge from both sides.
Privacy Fence 8' Cedar Cap & Trim on Steel Posts
The eight foot section covers 48 feet where extra height was needed for screening. At that height we held post spacing to six feet, because wind load climbs quickly with every foot you add.

Privacy Fence 6' Cedar Cap & Trim on Steel Posts
The six foot section runs 36 feet and picks up where the tall fence steps down. Tapering the sections between the two heights keeps the top line reading as one fence instead of two.
