Rail fence gives you the look of open country, and the chain link behind it is what actually keeps the dog home. We set 4 inch round treated pine posts in concrete and ran 4 inch by 8 foot doweled round rails between them, two rails high, then backed the whole line with 9 gauge finish black chain link. The black mesh sits behind the rails and reads as shadow from any distance. Treated pine takes the wet and dry swing of Oklahoma clay without checking the way untreated stock does. A double gate opens wide for equipment, and a walk gate handles foot traffic. It suits a Broken Arrow property with room to spare.
