The perimeter is treated pine round rail, with 4 inch round posts in concrete and 4 inch by 8 foot doweled rails, then lined with 9 gauge black finish chain link to close the openings between rails. Doweled joinery lets the rails sit tight without hardware that works loose as posts heave and settle through freeze and thaw.
