Gates are where a rail fence usually starts giving trouble, and both of these were chosen to avoid it. We hung a 10 foot double gate and a walk gate in black chain link, light frames that do not swell in humidity or drop out of square the way heavy timber can. The fence runs on 4 inch treated round rail posts set in concrete with doweled 4 inch by 8 foot rails, filled with 9 gauge black chain link. Treated pine handles ground moisture and the black mesh needs no finish work at all. Owasso lots backing onto open ground get a clear boundary here without losing the view across it.
