This property got two different boundaries because it has two different jobs to do. Along the open side we set 4″ round rail treated posts in concrete, ran 4″ x 8′ doweled round rail between them, and backed the rails with 9 gauge finish black chain link so dogs and children stay inside without losing the view. Closer to the house we built a cedar privacy run: 5/8″ x 3.5″ x 6′ cedar pickets on 2 1/2″ square steel posts, three Douglas fir 2×4 backrails, and galvanized ring shank nails. A walk gate serves each section. Broken Arrow lots that mix a pasture edge with a lived in back yard need that split.
