We set 338 feet of treated pine round rail at 5 feet tall in a two rail layout, then backed the rails with 9 gauge black chain link so the yard holds pets and children without closing off the view. A 10 foot double gate and a 5 foot walk gate came from the manufacturer, and we hung both on the finished line. Round treated posts in concrete shed wind loading well, and black mesh disappears from any distance, which is why this style shows up so often on open Owasso lots. Treated pine stands up to ground contact and Oklahoma humidity far better than untreated lumber would, and the rails need almost nothing from you once they are up.
