One height holds the open boundary while the taller run handles the private side. On the rail section we set 4 inch round treated posts in concrete, fit 4 inch by 8 foot doweled rails between them, and backed the line with 9 gauge black chain link so nothing slips through. The privacy section uses 5/8 by 3.5 by 6 foot cedar pickets on 2 1/2 inch square steel posts, three Douglas fir 2×4 back rails, a 2×6 cedar cap board, and 1×4 cedar trim, fastened with galvanized ring shank nails. That cap sheds water off the picket ends. We built the wood walk gate and hung a matching round rail gate. Broken Arrow properties often want both looks.
