The third rail is the difference here. On a taller pine rail fence, a middle rail keeps the line rigid and gives the mesh something to tie to in the center, which stops the belly that shows up when animals push against wire. Posts are 4 inch round treated stock in concrete, rails are 4 inch doweled pine, and the backing is 9 gauge black vinyl coated chain link. The black finish hides against grass and tree lines rather than catching the eye. A chain link walk gate and a matching double gate were hung in the same black finish, so the openings read as part of the run. Owasso properties with pasture edges use this build often.
